Risk management has become an ever increasing necessity as the complexity of today’s supply chains grow. Our speaker, Mitch Fonda, will address two types of risk:
- Direct - coming from within the supply chain
- Indirect - coming from outside the supply chain
This session seeks to provide applicable, relevant concepts and examples of solutions to address both direct and indirect supply chain risk. The desired outcome is to assist those in attendance by providing useful time relevant information and a basis for the sharing of best practices, and a resource network for future assistance for issue resolution.

Mitch Fonda, CSCP, is currently the Site Leader for the Waters Corporation Analytical Standards and Reagents facility in Golden. Prior to Waters, he worked for the Millipore Corporation in Massachusetts during which time he held several positions with responsibilities covering manufacturing operations with over 800 employees, Global Environmental, Health and Safety, co-development of the company’s Sustainability program, Supply Chain Security and Business Continuity and a key member of a team that successfully completed $1.5 billion M&A activity.
He holds an M.S. from the University of Rochester, School of Medicine and Dentistry and a B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology.
