Strategic Career Management for Supply Chain Professionals

“Your career is your business. It's time for you to manage it as a CEO.” This session is designed to equip you with practical, actionable strategies to effectively manage and advance your careers in today’s rapidly changing and increasingly complex world. As global supply chains face disruptions, digitization, tariffs, and shifting workforce dynamics, professionals must not only keep pace with change but proactively position themselves for long-term success.

We will explore how to:

  • Leverage current industry trends
  • Develop a resilient, forward-looking career trajectory

Through a mix of expert insights, real-world examples, and reflection exercises, participants will leave this session with a clear understanding of how to take ownership of their career path and thrive in an ever-evolving supply chain environment.

Mark Lauterbach is a successful supply chain executive and career coach. He started his industry career as a Buyer and exited as a Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) with Stolle Machinery, the leading manufacturer of can-making/printing machinery located in Centennial, CO. He held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility with market leaders including AlliedSignal, Black & Decker, Mercury Marine (Brunswick division) and Nippon Denso, where he focused on supply chain transformations. During his career, he traveled to 52 countries, including 57 visits to China, to establish reciprocal trade agreements.

Ten years ago, he also formed Jump Up the Ladder/the Job Search Accelerator, a career management consulting firm which assists professionals in managing their careers, including support with career development and job search. This is his passion business!

Mark graduated with a BA, Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University, the global pioneer in supply chain studies. He is also a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC).

5:30 - Networking and refreshments
