Topic: Is Thermal Transfer Barcode Printing Dying?

Speaker: Scott McKensie from Pacific Barcode

This presentation will examine the growing popularity of color on-demand inkjet label printing in distribution and manufacturing. We will explore why it has the potential to replace traditional thermal transfer barcode printing by reducing preprinted label templates, utilizing color-coded inventory, and serving as a marketing tool.  Although thermal transfer has been the industry standard, color on-demand inkjet printing now offers significant advantages we will explore in this presentation.  We will discuss some specific case studies and success stories.

Scott McKensie has held various roles in the supply chain industry for 23 years, including programmer, project manager, entrepreneur, and sales executive.  He leverages his extensive experience to provide thought leadership and consultative services to clients, with focus on solving customer problems through automation technology that offers strong returns on investments. Scott is currently a Vice President at Pacific Barcode.
