As a thank you to the organizations and the management teams who have supported their employees at our APICS events, we would like you to invite your manager to join you for free at the April PDM. This will be a chance for them to meet your fellow APICS members, gain insight into these meetings and understand how their support is helping your grow your career and professional experience.
In addition, the member and their manager will be entered into a drawing to win $100 prize.
This month’s speaker is Martin Shields who is the director of the Regional Economics Institute at CSU and a Professor of Economics. In 2011, he created the Regional Economics Institute to provide research-based information, analysis, and strategies to decision-makers acrossColoradoas they work to strengthen regional and state economies. 
The economic strength and direction of our communities, nation and our world affect our daily jobs. Although the recession ended in 2009, bothColoradoand the nation have been mired in a weak recovery. In this talk Martin Shields will provide an overview of the current economic situation and an outlook for the next 24 months of the recovery. He will identify areas of growth, describe challenges facing other sectors, and talk about policy options moving forward.
